North Charleston is one of only three places in the world that build wide-body commercial aircraft, alongside major vehicle and parts manufacturers. Long hours and physically demanding work can take a toll on mood and energy.

North Charleston is home to Charleston Southern University and the main campus of Trident Technical College.

North Charleston's economy centers on aircraft and vehicle manufacturing, the military and logistics.

How Depression Treatment Works

Depression is more than sadness. It means low mood or loss of interest most of the day, nearly every day, for two weeks or more, often with changes in sleep, appetite, energy and concentration.

Your first visit is a full evaluation by secure video. Your provider uses standard questionnaires such as the PHQ-9, asks about your health and stresses, and looks for medical causes such as thyroid problems.

Treatment can include therapy, medication when clinically appropriate, or both. Your provider repeats the same questionnaires over time, so you can both see whether treatment is working. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988 or call 911.

We accept Medicare, most major commercial plans, and all South Carolina Medicaid managed care plans except Select Health (First Choice). New patients are often able to be scheduled within a week of requesting an appointment.
