Online Counseling and Therapy for South Carolina

Expert care from board-certified providers — from anywhere in South Carolina via secure telehealth.

Online Therapy That Works

Telehealth therapy is well-established and research-supported. Multiple studies have demonstrated that cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and other evidence-based approaches are as effective via secure video as they are in person. Hope Behavioral Medicine provides individual counseling to adults across all of South Carolina through our licensed therapists — the same quality care available at our West Ashley office, delivered to your home.

Your first session is an intake assessment — typically 50 minutes — where your therapist learns about your history, current concerns, and goals for therapy. Together, you build a treatment plan that guides your work over the coming weeks and months. Subsequent sessions are typically weekly or biweekly, depending on your needs and schedule.

What We Address

Our telehealth therapists work with adults experiencing anxiety (generalized, social, panic-related), depression (persistent low mood, loss of motivation, hopelessness), relationship and interpersonal issues, life transitions (career changes, relocation, divorce, becoming a parent), grief and loss, stress management and burnout, and work-life balance challenges. If you are unsure whether therapy is right for your situation, we encourage you to call — our team can help you determine the best path forward.

Our Modalities

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you identify and change the distorted thinking patterns and behaviors that contribute to your symptoms. It is structured, goal-oriented, and typically produces measurable improvement within 8 to 16 sessions.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) teaches you to accept difficult thoughts and feelings while committing to actions aligned with your values. It is especially effective for patients who feel stuck in patterns of avoidance.

Trauma-Informed Care creates a safe therapeutic environment and integrates trauma-sensitive techniques into treatment for patients with histories of significant adverse events.

Coordination with Medication Providers

If you are also receiving psychiatric medication management from one of our providers, your therapist and prescriber coordinate directly within our practice. This integrated approach ensures your therapy goals and medication plan are aligned.
