About Hope Behavioral Medicine

Comprehensive psychiatric care built around patients, not billing clocks.

Our Mission

Hope Behavioral Medicine was founded because too many patients were stuck in a cycle of 10-minute medication checks that never addressed the full picture. We believe psychiatric care should start with a thorough evaluation — 45 to 60 minutes to understand your symptoms, history, and goals — not a quick checklist and a prescription. We believe your follow-ups should be unhurried, your questions should be answered, and your treatment plan should be built around your life.

Our Approach

We provide both psychiatric medication management and counseling under one roof — and our prescribers and therapists coordinate directly so your treatment is cohesive. We treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, insomnia, PTSD, OCD, postpartum depression, and related conditions. Every patient gets a comprehensive evaluation before we recommend a treatment plan.

Our Team

Our team includes board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) for medication management and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) for therapy. Everyone coordinates — your prescriber knows what you are working on in therapy, and your therapist knows what medications you are taking. Meet our providers →

Part of Hope Health Network

Hope Behavioral Medicine is part of Hope Health Network, a multi-practice healthcare network in the Charleston Lowcountry. Our network enables seamless referral pathways between primary care, behavioral health, and specialized medicine — so patients get the right care at the right time.

In-Person and Telehealth

We see patients in person at our West Ashley office (1064 Gardner Road, Suite 215, Charleston SC 29407) and via secure telehealth across all of South Carolina. New patients are often able to be scheduled within a week of requesting an appointment. Learn about telehealth →
